John Egan - Artist Jonothan Bevan - Chef, Entrepreneur
John Egan and friends drop in unexpectedly. For instance, last year in Paris, they were squatting on run down buildings in the city doing hit and run art installations. John is an excellent artist working with a lot of natural materials, metals and corrosive solvents to create some unique work. Have a look at: http://www.johnhenryegan.com/images/portfolio/index7.htm
Jonathan Bevan is part of this hit and run but lately he has been sticking around. He is starting a cafe in Paris to be a little more permanent. In fact, if I had an espresso for every time a friend of mine has started or is starting a cafe, I'd have ulcers. You can see what they are up to at: http://www.jonathanbevanparis.blogspot.com/
What these guys are up to is taking an area like fine art in Paris, and making a mission of it. They are talented but want to find a way to disciple and bless in such a way that a community of faith and art and business grows well together. It's been a hard slog, years in fact to get this far and this ain't far. But they are persistent. I mean, if you think about it, how long does it take to do great things. For some people, it's a life time. For most of us, greatness never happens because we are not willing to invest the decades.
