If most of our students are leaving YWAM within 2 years, how can we better prepare them for their mission and their life?
If most of our students are leaving YWAM within 2 years, how can we better prepare them for their mission and their life?
Who is this for:
These sessions were designed and given to DTS staff who are preparing to run the kind of school that equips students for their life in mission. Especially, when that mission is back at home on the job, in their families and at their churches. The international cross-cultural element is still part of this picture, but we address the missional angle from our ‘Jerusalem’ and then out to the utter most parts of the earth.
This teaching could also work well for those schools who do not have a lot of time with the staff prior to the school and who want to use that prep time to cover other issues like how to do one on ones, getting ready practically etc. For these situations, the staff could listen to this before joining the school, and then process the key issues as a team once they gather at the course location.
What’s included:
This nine part workshop was recorded at YWAM Oakridge in New Zealand. The main focus is on preparing the school to work with students (and some staff) who for the most part, will be gone from YWAM within two years.
The question we focus on is how to help these guys identify their gifts and callings and to engage in the mission of developing the Kingdom of God wherever they go and in whatever they do.
We also introduce a review of DTS curriculum called Vocatio, to answer the crucial question of calling and destiny.
