Claudia Pelz & Judith Böttiger - Graphic Designers
These two wonderful people live and work around Stuttgart. They run a graphics design company and flow with an international community of people that want to contribute to and shape culture. They have a solid base in Stuttgart in terms of family and creative community and they stretch this around the world from Switzerland to NY. I have met them in various places around the world networking with other people who want to use their creative voice to influence culture.
One example of this is the magazine they have tried to start a couple of times. In trying to identify with the underground collective of creatives in their travels, they are endeavoring to put together a zine that speaks to and encourages this group. Their designs are great and their content is really good as well. The problem is, how do you sell to people who by their very nature are not commercial people. They would gladly give this stuff away but the creating, printing and distribution is an expensive deal.
They also have these killer rave parties in some of the factories they have rented in order to bring people together into an environment that is filled with art and light and sound and joy. It's a form of fellowship that Artisan also creates in their intercession events around the world. Again, a part of this growing trend is the desire for radical and beautiful worship and fellowship. Not just to get away from the institutionalized church, but to move towards something that is relevant and engaging.
